Project overview
The Ministry for Home Affairs, Security and Employment tasked Pervenire with creating a nationwide recruitment campaign covering four of Malta's uniformed corps: the Correctional Services Agency, the Malta Police Force, the Armed Forces of Malta, and the Civil Protection Department.
The objective was clear: show the public what these men and women actually do, in a way that makes people want to join them. That meant no staged setups and no actors. Every frame had to be captured in real operational conditions, with real personnel carrying out real duties.
Pervenire handled the entire production pipeline. Pre-production planning involved coordinating access across four separate organisations, each with different operational schedules, security requirements, and locations. We planned every shoot around live operations rather than asking the corps to perform for camera.
The footage spans the full breadth of what these organisations do. High-speed police pursuits with the Rapid Intervention Unit. Emergency air rescue operations. Special Interventions Unit training exercises. Shadowing the Maritime Squadron at sea. The Civil Protection Department responding to an emergency callout. In every case, we embedded with the teams and captured the intensity and discipline of the work firsthand.
Aerial drone footage was used extensively to capture scale, whether that was a Maritime Squadron vessel at sea, an Armed Forces exercise across open terrain, or the density of a Civil Protection response. On the ground, close-quarter handheld work brought the viewer into the action, creating an immersive feel that a traditional corporate video approach would never achieve.
The campaign was fully produced, edited, and delivered by Pervenire. Final deliverables included 5 television commercials for broadcast, 4 vertical-format social media videos optimised for mobile, and 8 high-resolution artworks designed for large-format billboard printing. The billboards were displayed across the island as part of the national campaign rollout.
This project required the kind of production capability that sits between a news crew and a film unit. Speed and adaptability to work in unpredictable live environments, combined with the visual standard and post-production polish of a premium brand campaign. The result is recruitment content that treats these organisations with the seriousness and respect they deserve.
